Terry Jastrow Inspires with Talents Beyond ABC Sports Fame

Terry Jastrow began his climb to his multi-talented proven achievements in the sports field and entertainment world at the age of 22. From a director/producer for sports and entertainment productions to his recognition as a writer, playwright, and actor, Jastrow has proven to be a master to inspire others to reach their own life goals.
Jastrow Proves His Worth Right Out of College
The recent graduate made his debut at ABC Sports in 1972 upon receiving a bachelor’s degree in communications from University of Houston. At only 23 Jastrow became the youngest producer/director in network TV history — working for the well-known Roone Arledge. From 1974 to 1977 he also worked to produce a bevy of telecasts by Howard Cosell.
The young powerhouse continued his work at the network for 25 years — which included producing/directing a Super Bowl and total six Olympic games. For the 1984 Summer Games his producing/directing efforts of the opening and closing ceremonies were watched by an estimated one billion people worldwide.
In addition, as a producer/director Jastrow worked on 62 Major Championships of Golf — including “US Open,” “The Open Championship,” and “The PGA Championship.”
Emmy Winner Jastrow Continues Quest to Learn and Achieve
The forever-growing talented gentleman at ABC was awarded by being nominated an amazing 17 times for Emmy Awards. Jastrow has won the achievement of seven Emmys.
From his start Jastrow did not waver on his quest to develop new projects in sports and the entertainment world. The famed producer, director, screenwriter, and novelist has had many many career highlights.
Realizing his love of theatrical productions outside of sports, Jastrow studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City. There he was invited to be in Lee Strasberg’s Master Class. A new avenue found the now actor performing in theater, film, and television.
